Digital X-Rays

Significantly Less Radiation Exposure: Digital sensors require only 10% radiation as compared to conventional x ray films. This result is a significantly reduced radiation exposure to patients.

Enhancement of Images: Digital images can be enhanced using software, thus more diagnostic information can be made available to the dentist.

Environmentally Friendly: With digital X-Rays, there are no toxic chemicals like lead involved.

Save time: Unlike films which take 4-5 min to be processed, digital X rays show up instantly on the computer screen. They can be easily viewed by patients and transmitted electronically to other specialists for a second opinion.

Intraoral Cameras

Intraoral Cameras

People rarely have a clear idea of the actual state of their dental health. Even with lights and mirrors it’s hard to see what the dentist can – that is, until now.

We use intraoral cameras, so during your check up, you can sit comfortably back in the chair and get ready to learn about what’s going on in your mouth. The dentist or hygienist will place a pen-sized, camera into your mouth. Covered with a disposable plastic sheath to prevent contamination, the wand simply takes a video of the inside of your mouth and transmits the images to a computer screen that you can comfortably view from your dental chair. Aha! We can point out problem areas and explain recommendations for treatment, so you’ll become an informed partner in your dental treatment instead of a clueless bystander.

Digital Photography

Digital Photography

It has become an important communication tool for us.

The ability to communicate the appearance of a tooth to the laboratory can be significantly improved with the use of photography. A picture supposedly is “worth a thousand words” and, indeed, richly characterized teeth would never be able to be well-matched without some sort of visual communication process. Strategically composing a set series of shots can magnify the value of digital.
